REQUIREMENTS TO PRACTICE NURSING IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Nurses Board of Western Australia Requirements

Documents Required

Graduates from overseas

• Birth certificate or passport (other name change documents as appropriate)
• Initial registration certificate
• Verification of initial registration (pleases request your registering authority to send verification directly to the Nurses Board of Western Australia)
• Current practising certificate.
• Verification of current registration (pleases request your registering authority to send verification directly to the Nurses Board of Western Australia) {Please note this only applies to applicants who have practiced nursing/midwifery in countries other than where the initial registration was obtained.}
• Transcript of training (to be sent directly to the Board by the School of Nursing)
• Statement of service on letterhead paper (sent directly to the Board by most recent employer).
Please note: You MAY have to undertake an English Language Assessment Test prior to gaining registration.
